My grandpa in Malaysia just passed away :(
BOOOHOOOOO!!! T_T
My grandma called this morning at 7plus and my dad picked up the call....
I was still in bed,oblivious to what happened :(
Then a few mins later,I woke up cos I heard dad talking to my mum in a worried and sad voice....
I thought that maybe someone of our close relatives were in a accident or something....
But deep down,I had a really strange feeling that it was something to do with my grandpa,sigh :(
Then,I finally heard what I didn't want to....
My dad told my brother that my grandpa had passed away peacefully at home....
Suddenly,I felt my worst fear had came true.....
I wasn't exactly close to my grandpa,but he was one of the nicest grandpa :)
He was a man of few words but his actions says everything....
I am not pin-pointing any smokers in this post and I hope that even if they chanced upon this post,I hope they would understand....
I am not exactly a smoker 'fan',I detest some inconsiderate smokers who puffs away even when there are people behind or beside them...but of course,there are some exceptions out there too....
My grandpa had been a heavy smoker since young and he is now 70plus when he passed away,so it was hard to for him to kick that habit....
You wouldn't believe me but he was as strong as an ox and I swear he had muscles on his arm,there was really NO health problems he had except some minor ones....
He rarely gets sick,this really proves that his health can be compared to a young lad's one....
My aunt and uncle in Singapore who are both in the healthcare professions was really astonished when we visited him and my mum told them that my grandpa was as fit as a fiddle...
This was because they saw him heavily smoking and believed he must have had alot of health problems....
My grandma proudly said that he had no major health problems and rarely gets sick,she even asked him to show them his muscles,haha,how cute was she :)
So shyly,my grandpa showed both my aunt and uncle his muscles...
He had a toned and muscular body and does everything around the house,from housework,cooking,planting which was his favorite past time...
I gave him the nickname 'medical miracle',haha...
Since he had no health issues,I didn't mind him smoking surprisingly.....
Even when he smoked in the house right where I was,I just stayed there and continued with what I was doing....
You can even say that,without that familiar smoke from him,I would feel strange....
But sadly,he contracted TB which was expected as he was really a heavy smoker....
But to live up to this age for him,I consider it to be a miracle :)
I went back a week ago with my mum to visit him and grandma...
Seeing him back then really pains my heart,his usual toned muscular body was gone and was replaced by only bones :(
He couldn't really move around and couldn't talked much as he was often in pain....
He was so much stronger than my grandma back then but after he contracted TB,he was always cold and needed 3 thick layers of clothing even though it was so warm in Malaysia :(
His skin was so dry it practically looks like crocodiles/snakes' skin :(
SIGH :(
I miss him when he was so strong and healthy,talking to my mum happily with a strong voice whenever we visited him and grandma back in Malaysia :(
I miss him cooking up a storm in the kitchen whenever we were all back for a family reunion during CNY :(
I miss him asking my mum what we wanted to had for breakfast the next day so he could get up early to buy them for us in the market :(
I miss how he would always cycle around the kampong for his afternoon tea at a coffeeshop and always asked what we want to had for snacks :(
I even miss him when he shoo-ed me off from the kitchen when he was cooking,scared that I would knock something over and hurt myself in the end :(
I even miss him bickering with my grandma for some minor issues back then :(
I MISS HIM SO MUCH NOW :((((((
This coming CNY is so not gonna be the same anymore :(

The mess at my then work place's storage.....really miss all my colleagues there :(

OMG!!!Didn't knew that my hand had so many microbes on them!!!We were asked to leave some fingerprints on the agar gel and this is what we got overnight--colonies forming,ewwww!!

Enjoy lab so much now but everyday in Year 3 is just plain STRESS.....
Have FYP,UT,lessons....
Hectic much!!! Okay,gonna stop here....

i just realized that i had not been blogging for like months.....
gosh....
did not even realize my blog's existence.....

i am in year two now and the workload is starting to get heavier.....

it was so damn fun as compared to the usual boring days in class......
we got to be like a doctor wearing our labcoats........
but we are not allowed to wear them around school.......

i am so proud of my school la......
they were the champion school in FOP........
this year freshmen must be so hyper la.......

Back from Malaysia........

well,just came back from Malaysia........
am so dead beat now............
so it's gonna be a short post today too.........
i just had my lunch and bath.........
actually,it was quite relaxing to stay over at my grandparents' house........
although there were a lot of mosquitoes,but it was fun nonetheless.........
LOL.........
me and my brother went crazy over ice-cream there.........
cause you all know the exchange rate.......
and the things there are so cheap.........
usually,when we beg our mum to buy ice-cream,she would say no........

but now at Malaysia,she was the first to ask us whether we want ice-cream........
she even said we can buy ice-cream anytime we want.........
so me and brother went crazy and bought a lot of ice-cream at one go...........

and it was so nice to have ice-cream during sunny days.......
but it was raining the whole day when we were back there.......
it rained consecutively for the days when we were back there.........
but we just ate the ice-cream anyway.........

suddenly remembered about the outing with my W47P friends.........
it is on next Monday..........
must ask jia li to go..........
if not it will be not fun as we will be not high..........

Communications Class.......

WOHOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!
today is the last day of lesson before i have my holidays.........
i am so happy.........
and today we had communications class..........
can you imagine having communications class before the break.........
i am freaking happy today........
because communications is so easy and after that we can have our break........
it was just so easy for the time to pass quickly........
LOL.........
our team did a poster for the presentations today and wrote two e-mails.........
the problem today wants us to write e-mails to different audience.......
but we came up with a poster for the e-mail intended for students..........
cause it would attract them so much more than just words..........
all from our own experience when we read e-mails.......
pictures really attracts our attention..........

so after we did all our things,went down to W1 to eat lunch........
asked janice to accompany me........
cause JIA LI PANG SEH US TODAY!!!!!!!!
she never came today.........
she promised me yesterday she would come today to entertain me......

Cognitive Class........

arrived at class with a bored mood today.........
cause cognitive classes are always so boring........
and the topic would be so hard..........
LOL............
but if you concentrate,you will know what it wants............
of course,sometimes,it just makes us more confused.......
and we will end up scratching our head just like me..........

but today's topic was like quite understandable to me..........
all about professional ethics..........
so our group decided to choose lawyer..........
and luckily,we were on the right track.........
because facci said we had a good understanding of the concept.......
but he said that it was a waste that we do not have good examples..............
otherwise,our presentation would have been excellent........

cognitive always leaves me so puzzled.........
when i would always thought that i had done a bad presentation,the facci would say it was a good one...........
when i thought i did a pretty good job in my presentation,the facci will say we do not have a good understanding but only basics...........

it was so cold this morning that i did not felt like going to school.........
raining days are meant for extra hours of sleeping..........
also i had a super strange dream today.........
dreamt that a stranger was sleeping in bed with me...........

today was a very nice day.......
because facci was a very nice sia.........
he came in and say that he will let us choose our own team mates..........
our face immediately lit up and we were all so happy.........

today was such a unlucky day for me.........
i forgot to bring my laptop charger...........
and my laptop cannot use battery as the battery is spoilt.........
so,i could not use my laptop in the end........

luckily gwen lend me her charger so i could do my UT on laptop first........
luckily i managed to do my UT on time........

didn't bother to blog about science class this week and communications class last week..........
cause nothing fun or interesting happened.........

today was maths again........
and it was VB codes again..........
i am so irritated by it seriously.....
i just do not get it..........
i wanted to understand it but it jut won't let me understand it.........
so i almost want to give up........

but,after reading the worksheet carefully,i could understand a bit.........
like finally..........
the worksheet really helped...........
so next time,i would look at the worksheet first before doing anything..........
i wonder why so people can be so good in VB coding..........
they must be real genius...........

we were talking about what module to select for next year........
she said she might choose the same one as me..........
so i was very happy..........
at least one person i know taking same module as me next year...........

by the way,i choose the advanced diploma for biomedical sciences..........
i really hope i can get good grade and get into Monash............
if even better get grades that can qualify me into NUS..........
but it would be hard as NUS is famous for science..........

today was last day for the week..........
was so happy cause next day can sleep until when i like........

today we change group again.........
there was only four groups that could be formed
so the facci asked us whether we want to combine group to do our slides........
she said that if we combine,one team was to do calculations while one is to do explanation of terms........
so two groups combined but mine and the other group did not.........
but luckily we did not..........
LOL........
i guess the combined group did not hear what our facci had said and only did calculations............
so there was a lot of drama and the facci was like so mad..........
she said that they had done the whole thing wrongly and they have put in no effort..............
so everyone was like WTH.........
they admitted that they were in the wrong but she kept on harping on it...........

and some people in the group were like so angry with her...........
why can't she says things nicely and tell them nicely that they were wrong.........
she even said that they put in no effort........
but they did the calculations !!!!!!!!!
how could she say they had put in no effort ??????
this would be very unfair to them if she said that.........

the topic was about underdetermination........
it is something about a lot of theories that can be supported by the data we collected.........
it seems confusing........
but once you get it,it would be like "WOW........I FINALLY GOT IT........"
so i finally got the whole thing after the second meeting..........
so i was like "FINALLY......."

today isabel didn't turned up for school as it was her birthday.........
and she went out to celebrate with her own friends...........
so wish her a HAPPY 20th BIRTHDAY HERE..........
actually nothing interesting happened today as everyone was busy..........

today's class was about VB coding.........
and if you all don't know what is it all about.......
let me explain it to you.......
it is visual basic coding.........
and we are to create a program........
DAMN IT.........
hate it like hell man.......
what have this got to do with my course.........
i am in biomedical sciences..........
so i kept asking myself why i am doing this module..........

but facci was really nice........
heard from other class their facci expect them to explain individually..........
but our facci said if we don't understand,it is absolutely fine........
he is supaa nice sia..........

and janice asked me to be faster.........

today was science class.........
and i heard from my friends it was going to be about rainbow..........
i began to recalled that i had done that in sec. school........
so i tried very hard to recall it.......
but to no avail,just couldn't remember anything.........

so just have to wait to have the 'Eureka!!!!' moment...........
luckily was able to find out what the problem statement was about today......
but i guess i could have done more.......

think that i did not contribute much to the team today........

so must do better for next week...........

today was a very lame day for me............
i thought beatrice told me on MSN to lend her $2..........
and she said it was very urgent..........
but i had not enough money and told janice to lend her........
she said okay and asked janice to come quickly to lend her.........
so i told janice to go over quickly as it was urgent.......

but when janice reached there and ask beatrice why she need $2 so urgently...........
beatrice looked at her with a very confused face..........

well,today is the last day for the week........
tomorrow is Saturday and so can sleep more.......
so i am in a very happy mood today

today was supposed to change team but facci did not change it.........
then,she kept asking us to do evaluation for her............

today is maths class again.........
didn't feel like blogging about the first week of school.........
also did not blog about the science class yesterday.......
cause nothing interesting happened.......

today problem is about a topic called barbeque........
it is not about planning for the barbeque........
it is fully about maths and maths and maths........

so we changed our group today........
and i got kenneth in my team.........

and after a while,he said he had found the solution........
me and farisha gave him a 'what-the-hell,so-fast' look............

so he explained everything to us and we understood the solution...........
so i went to find out another solution for the problem.........

and we wrote the whole solution there..........

and i ate lunch in class..........

Back from Malaysia...........

just came back from Malaysia a few days agao.........
was quite happy to see my grandparents fine.........
they look happy at my uncle's house.......
but they would be happier back in their home...........
cause mum said they are more comfortable back at home.........

i feel like going to my grandparents' home.........
the air there feels so nice........
everything there is so serene and nice........
the neighbours there are also very nice..........
so i feel like going back there.............
LOL...........
we reached my uncle's house by afternoon............
we ate lunch there and my brother was there complaining.............
he said that not nice and this not nice........
and i ask him to shut up cause it was very rude..........
and he gave me a =.= face.........
then my mum ask him to keep quiet.........

so after lunch,we went to another uncle's house..........
you see,i have got three uncles and three aunties..........
thus,my grandma gave birth to six children..........
but actually is seven,but she gave one away...........
you may think it is cruel,but they have no choice.........
they were really poor at that time.......
so rather to let the child suffer with them,they gave the child away............

but the seventh child who is my aunt always come to visit during festivals............
okay,i am straying so far away...........

the next week is holidays for me........
i am like so happy........

think i am going to Malaysia to visit my grandparents..........
have not see them for so long already........

this is because tomorrow is holiday for me..........

this is like the second week that i am now in my new class..........
first impressions of my class was that is was so damn quiet........
like when i went in to the class,it was like so damn eerie quiet...........

but after a few days,we are beginning to warm up to each other in the new class......
i found out that my new class is very friendly,kind and so helpful..............

today was computing and maths UT..............
the computing part was like so hard...........

today was the unluckiest day of my life...
i was suppose to reach school on 2.30pm for configuration...
i was late!!i can't believe it!!!i sat on the wrong bus!!!

they say if we are late we will not be entertained....

no choice but to go home....
got a hair cut and called my supervisor regarding my salary...
nvm,tommorow going out...

staff there were very helpful....
